No smoking or vaping signs
Putting up no smoking and no vaping signs and posters at your club is a great way to help everyone follow the rules.
Every state and territory has specific laws on smoking and vaping in public, including around clubs and sporting venues.
Putting up clear signs not only sends a signal to members and guests about where people can smoke and vape and which areas are off limits, it’s also legally necessary to display these signs.
There are rules around what the signs need to look like and where they should be placed.
To make things easy, each state and territory government provides official signs that you can order or download via the links below. Fines can be applied if signs are not displayed in the right places.
For more detailed information about smoking and vaping laws in local clubs and sports grounds, see the printable fact sheet for each state and territory.
