Take the Pledge to Drive So Others Survive

Take the pledge to keep our roads safe and you could win! This National Road Safety Week, Good Sports is asking your club to Take the Pledge to Drive So Others Survive.

NRSW 2

Film a video pledging to drive safely, post to your club’s social media channels and share with us for the chance at a $500 Visa gift card for your club. This comp is only open to Good Sports clubs in NSW and SA, and closes at midnight on May 12, 2024.

How to pledge

To enter, film yourself taking the pledge and share it to your Facebook or Instagram account. Here’s a script you can use.

Hi my name is <insert name> and I’m from <insert club name>. Join me/us in support of National Road Safety Week and help make our roads safer for all. I/we pledge to:

  • focus on the road and not get distracted
  • plan ahead and leave the car home on a night out
  • get home safe while driving
  • take extra care on the regional roads
  • not drive while fatigued or tired
  • not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • slow down when passing emergency personnel, road works and vulnerable road users.

You only need to choose one of the pledges – choose the one that feels most relevant to you and your club.

When uploading your pledge on your club’s socials, please tag @goodsportsclubs – we would love to see your pledges! You can also add the National Road Safety Week hashtag #NRSW to your post.
