We know that vaping is a health concern for young people. 1 in 5 young people aged 14 and over reported using e-cigarettes at least once in 2022-23.
Your club cares about the wellbeing of young players, both on and off the field. As trusted role models, coaches can shape young players’ choices around vaping.
Even if there isn’t a problem with vaping at your club, you can be a powerful positive influence in helping young people to make healthier choices in the rest of their lives, too.
As a club leader or coach, you want your team to be happy and healthy. Vaping can be a real health risk to young people and impact sporting performance. Get to know the score on vaping, so you can share that important info with them.

- Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) – dedicated teams across Australia to help reduce harm from smoking in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
