Safe transport initiatives through social media
The club organises transport home from club events. In addition, they actively promote safe transport initiatives through social media and announcements from senior leadership.
President Bruce Moon says the Good Sports program has helped the club build a culture that prioritises the health and safety of its members.
An effective vehicle to deliver safety messages
“There are too many lives lost through road accidents around here. Road deaths are over-represented in our rural area. Our community recognises that Pyramid Hill Football Netball Club is an effective vehicle to deliver safety messages. Particularly for young people and families,” Mr Moon said.
“In small rural communities like Pyramid Hill the local football netball club has the ability to impact positively on the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of our young people and their families. Good Sports helps us so we can it right,” Mr Moon added.
