Good Sports Club of the Year

This award recognises a club that demonstrates exceptional community leadership, going above and beyond the core requirements of a Gold Accredited Good Sports club. The club actively engages with their local community to promote health and wellbeing, and reduce harm from alcohol and other drugs.

PRIZE: The national winner will receive $2000 for their club. The state and territory clubs that win this award will receive $500 for their club and will become the eight finalists for the national category.

Good Sports Volunteer of the Year

This award recognises a Good Sports club volunteer who is the beating heart of their club. They’re a champion who makes their community sporting club stronger and more family-friendly by going above and beyond the usual undertakings of a volunteer. They live and breathe the Good Sports ethos, helping to reduce harm from alcohol and other drugs – whether in their club or the wider community.

PRIZE: The national winner will receive $500. The state and territory volunteers who win this award will receive $250 each.

Good Sports Safe Transport Award

This award is presented to a Good Sports club that has prioritised member safety by developing and implementing comprehensive safe transport practices aimed at reducing the risk of drink or drug driving – helping to make sure everyone gets home safely.

PRIZE: The club that wins this award will receive $1000.

Good Sports Community Club Award

This award goes to a Good Sports club who is a leader in their community. The club’s impact extends beyond its membership, supporting their local community in times of need and with local issues, especially by reducing alcohol and other drug harm.

PRIZE: The club that wins this award will receive $1000.

Good Sports Mental Health Excellence Award

This award recognises a Good Sports club that has shown leadership in raising mental health awareness in their club, sharing mental health resources, and helping protect members from alcohol and drug harm.

PRIZE: The club that wins this award will receive $1000.

Good Sports Junior Club of the Year 

This award recognises a Good Sports club that makes sport safer for juniors by limiting alcohol exposure, promoting a smoke and vape-free environment, and encouraging positive spectator behaviour.

PRIZE: The club that wins this award will receive $1000.

Good Sports New Club of the Year

This award goes to a new Good Sports club that demonstrates leadership in fostering positive change and accountability among its members. The club is actively striving to reduce alcohol and other drug-related harms, contributing to a safer and more inclusive club environment.

PRIZE: The club that wins this award will receive $1000.
