Good Sports Awards 2024
The Good Sports Awards are the ultimate trophy for any Good Sports club, paying tribute to the heart and soul of community sporting clubs – no matter their size or sporting code.
The competition
The Awards recognise the strong clubs and dedicated people who are passionate about their community, dedicated to reducing harm from alcohol and other drugs, committed to looking after their members and working hard to make their club the very best it can be.
Entering is easy and you may even qualify to enter multiple categories. Share your club’s story for your chance to be crowned one of the Good Sports Awards 2024 winners, along with up to $2000 cash for your club.

The categories
There are seven categories to enter - whether it’s your champion volunteer, managing alcohol responsibly, looking after your junior members or supporting club members’ mental health, you know your club’s biggest strength.

Winners will receive a cash prize that will be used to benefit their club. A total of $13,500 in prizes is up for grabs!

How to nominate: Logging into the Good Sports online portal
This year, nominations for the 2024 Good Sports Awards are submitted through the Good Sports online portal.
If you have an account, log in to the portal.
Not sure if you already have an account, or need to create one?
- Create your new log in by going to the portal sign up page.
- Enter your club details. If your club is already signed up to the program, you’ll be able to search for your club in the system and all your club details will be carried across.
- After you’ve entered your info, click on the verification link in the email that will be sent to you (don’t forget to check your spam folder if it doesn’t arrive).
- You’ll be taken straight back to the portal, where you’ll see a notification with the link to the Awards nomination form.
- Your club will need to be an ‘Accredited’ or ‘Gold Accredited’ Good Sports club to be eligible to win an Award. You can find this info in the portal, and if you’re not yet, progress through your action plan to get accredited.
Eligibility
To enter, your club:
- not be a professional sporting club (e.g. A League, National Basketball League), National Sporting Organisation or State Sporting Organisation
- must be an ‘Accredited’ or ‘Gold Medal Accredited’ Good Sports club
- must nominate through the Good Sports online portal (instructions for logging in below)
- also meet the eligibility criteria listed below.
