Good Sports Junior clubs enjoy a day to remember!
School holiday excitement kicked in to overdrive yesterday at a special rugby league clinic held at Crestwood Oval.
Representing four New South Wales Rugby League clubs, 20 lucky junior players had the chance to rub shoulders and train with NSW Blues greats.
The Rouse Hill Rhinos, All Saints Toongabbie, Girraween Eagles and Kellyville Bushrangers are all taking part in the Good Sports Junior program. These clubs were rewarded for their commitment to healthier and safer sporting environments, each receiving five spots at the clinic.
Good Sports Junior is supported by nib foundation, and the opportunity came about through nib’s partnership with the NSW Blues.
Natisha Fowler, mother of two of the junior rugby players in attendance, described the event as an unforgettable experience for her kids.
“The boys had so much fun and learnt something new. They absolutely loved getting their jerseys signed!”
Ranging in age from 5-16 years, the juniors took part in a range of drills and were given tips and advice from some of the best in the business with Luke Burt, Josh Perry and Steve “Blocker” Roach headlining a star studded coaching line up.
