Palmerston Rugby Club kicks its goal
The Palmerston Rugby Club in the Northern Territory was thrilled to gain its level 1 accreditation recently. The club already met most of the accreditation criteria; however the committee could see the benefits in becoming a Good Sports club, particularly when it came to boosting membership and a strong community reputation. Murray MacAllister, the Northern Territory Manager of Good Sports, visited the club and was pleased to see such a committed group of people who are keen to ensure a safe and healthy environment to its club members. The club is home to Narada (Tawera) Kerr-Barlow, who was recently named in the NZ All Black’s training squad. Kerr-Barlow returned to the club last month to play with the club’s juniors.
