Charters Towers Healthy Lifestyle Festival
Good Sports proudly sponsored the annual Gold Fever Healthy Lifestyle Festival. The event, held in Charters Towers, includes the Gold Fever Le Tour and the Gold Fever Fun Run. The festival is in it’s fourth year and offered a wide variety of activities including live entertainment, fitness demonstrations, healthy living stalls, free kids entertainment, market stalls, local produce and a Unique Dining Experience in Lissner Park by The Cattleman’s Rest Steakhouse.
Saturday kicked off with cycling Time Trials at the Weir followed by the Criterium at Lissner Park,
with cyclists guzzling down Good Sports water to keep them hydrated. Lifestyle stalls and activities filled the park from 12pm on Saturday. The 10 kilometre and five kilometre Fun Runs began at 4:30pm with over $ 7,500 in prize money up for grabs. In 2012 Charters Towers Regional Council has combined efforts with the local “”Relay for Life”" team to produce a three kilometre charity run/walk.
Good Sports would like to give a special mention to the Charters Towers Demons AFL club who joined the program on the day.
